Judith Mendenhall, flutist, has appeared throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia as a recitalist, chamber and orchestral musician, and teacher. She is the principal flutist of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra, a member of the Berkshire Bach Ensemble, has appeared in thirteen nationwide “Musicians From Marlboro” tours, has been guest artist with the Cleveland, Emerson, and Mendelssohn String Quartets, and has been presented in solo recital including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the 92nd Street Y in New York City, and the Schubert Club in St. Paul. She served as the principal flutist of the New York Chamber Symphony under Gerard Schwarz, the Mostly Mozart Festival, the Grand Teton Festival, and the Colorado Music Festival. Ms. Mendenhall was a founding member of the “Music Today” Ensemble under Gerard Schwarz, and a founding member of the Naumburg Award-winning Aulos Wind Quintet. She is currently Chair of the Wind Department at Mannes School of Music, where she teaches flute and chamber music, and is on the faculty of Queens College. Ms. Mendenhall has recorded for Delos, Columbia, Vox, CRI, Koch, Bridge Records, and the Marlboro Recording Society.
